Bio




Giada Jiang(she/they) is a movement-study artist who is dedicated to creating spaces and dances where all people can express who they are and marginalized individuals can feel understood, comforted, and respected.

Born in Italy and raised in China, she made her way to the United States in 2018, achieving Summa Cum Laude honors in Dance BFA with a minor in Psychology from Point Park University.

She has been commissioned and awarded residencies at Lamar University’s Summer Fest, Aimed Dance Company, Scuola Longjia, and Starry Sky Dance Studio, demonstrating her acclaimed contributions to the dance community. As an educator, she imparts her expertise in ballet and modern dance to diverse students across China, Italy, and the United States.

Giada has had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed artists such as Pearlann Porter, Dimitri Chamblas, Susan Stowe, Freida Abtan, and Richard Parsakian.

Over the past six years, she has showcased her work at venues including the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, MOCA, Pittsburgh Playhouse, Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Chinese Cultural Center, Rowland White Performance Center, Sharon Disney Lund Theatre, and Hangzhou Grand Theater.

Currently, Giada is pursuing her Choreography MFA with a concentration in Integrated Media at California Institue of the Arts.
